About Us

Emergency management does not eliminate the threat of disaster. It does however decrease any effect a disaster may have on a community. This is why the Shenango Township Municipal Government takes it very seriously and continuously works toward a well prepared community. Using resources from various township agencies, we will prepare, respond and recover from any natural or man made disaster. 

When a disaster strikes, every available resource is needed to return residents and visitors to their normal lifestyles. The Department of Emergency Management is tasked with bringing all the known resources together. Each department has a task to complete and by following predetermined emergency plans, our community is ready for whatever may come our way.  

Township departments will also coordinate and work closely with county, state and federal agencies to gain more resources. This is done through planning and training. We continue to train and gain knowledge on new ideas and plans everyday.
